I Wrote A Book...With Words And Stuff
It's been awhile since I posted to this thing, but now seems as good a time as any. After all, if I wrote a book, I can write a blog. In fact, that's WHY I'm writing this blog.
I wrote a book! It's probably the single greatest human achievement in the history of time, and will change the way you look at gaming, the world, and your innermost being. But don't take my word for it.
The New York Times has said, "A truly inspired work of genius." They didn't say that about my book, but they might someday, when they get around to reviewing it.
One of my friends said my book was, "pretty cool dude."He's a levelheaded guy, and doesn't exaggerate much.
Maybe it's time you jump on this pretty cool bandwagon yourself. Here's the synopsis:
When game designer Jack Valentine finds his best friend’s body floating in a bathtub of his own blood, he begins an investigation to discover the reason for the apparent suicide. As Jack digs into the abandoned artifacts of his friend’s private life, he uncovers a mysterious artificial intelligence program that takes credit for his friend’s death. After conversing with the program, Jack quickly spirals into a crazed hunt for answers. Haunted by demons from his past and suffering from insomnia, Jack has to discover the truth behind his friend’s death in order to save his career, his love life, and even his sanity.
Set in the heart of videogame and tech culture of the mid-90s, Kill Screen is a novel that explores death, personal forgiveness, and the social issues surrounding our ever-advancing technological culture.
If you're interested in responding to this shameless plug, you can buy my book on Amazon. There is even a Kindle edition, and you can read the first chapter online for free. Good luck stopping after that.
Your move, Stephen King.
