UPDATE: Artist Slams EA Louse Blogger
UPDATE: On his blog, Jeff Preston has just clarified that he is not nor never has never been a BioWare Mythic employee. But he is a freelance artist in the industry and a close friend of some of the targets of EA Louse's venom. So take that distinction as you will when reading his take on the EA Louse situation.
ORIGINAL STORY: Anonymous EA BioWare/Mythic blogger EA Louse made headlines yesterday, and it has prompted a not-so-anonymous response from Mythic's own Jeff Preston, an artist and designer for the studio.
In a blog, Preston defends some of the key people at the heart of Warhammer Online from EA Louse's accusations. At the same time, Preston is sympathetic to the license/fanbase/profit conundrum that Mythic finds itself under with the MMO and with the higher masters that every developer has to appease.
"The passive-aggressive sniping from a wall of anonymity is for p------... This whole tirade by EA Louse has me in stitches at the short-sightedness of it. people have no idea what the current management at EA Mythic has done since launch to safeguard people’s jobs. Just no f------ idea. Instead, there is just an anonymous letter to stir up a lunch mob of people who know nothing about what’s going on. The truth…it doesn’t matter."
