Game development often lasts for years. And in that stretch of time, studios have their fair share of ups and downs. From humorous game bugs to stress-relieving antics, Game Informer peers behind the curtain of game development. In this Tidbits column, BioWare shares the stories behind the development of Dragon Age: Origins.

Thats why I'm commenting before I finish reading it :)
That's alot of stuff in the dragon Age Universe so far.
Wow
Now that's what I'm talking about, we need real-life achievements. I can see it now, I'll open a door in my house, suddenly in front of me will pop up: "Opened Door!" 10G. We could even subtract gamerscore, for example if you get b*tch slapped: "b*tch just slapped you!" -50G.
I heart this game
<applauds> Thank you for the tidbits.
I can only imagine what it must be to play through a game without any dialogue. Must be strange. And kudos to Bruce Venne for having the patience and the drive to keep playing the same game over and over again. You're hard work paid off. Fantastic game.
i love these what you didn't articles
Holy crap, this list is long. I'm going to have to read the second half tomorrow after giving my eyes a break.
Interesting stuff though. And yeah devs have to break the game repeatedly to figure out how to fix it. Its fun breaking games :)
How did this not make the list for Top 10 Most Expensive Games of All Time?
Wow. That's ridiculously long haha
Enchantment?..... ENCHANTMENT!
That's the only thing I can think about this game right now.
*is shocked at how many tidbits there are*
Didnt you guys predict real life (aka developer achevements in this case)in an issue of Gameinfarcer years ago?
It is really shocking to see how much dialoge there is in the game. What is even more crazy is the The Old Republic is going to have even more.
Excellent Tidbit article.
Freaking awesome article.
So many bugs logged, and yet I still managed to run into more than a few during my playthrough, like the one that REMOVED ALL OF MY UNLOCKED SPECIALIZATIONS!!!!!
...
Yeah, that's why I never finished the game. It got too frustrating.
I love the Tidbits articles. It's like DVD commentary, which I also love.
I'm impressed.
lol, you know several tidbits are repeated here right? Some of them have different numbers too. Interesting stuff though! DA:O will always be 2009 GOTY to me :)
Do the 3,200 creature/character appearences include the filler characters that every game has?
