For the last year or so, PlayStation 3 commercials have ended with a
similar phrase emphasizing the system's many functionalities: "It Only
Does Everything." In 2011, they'll be shifting gears to a new message
that they want on gamers minds.

If you just can't wait to return to Mars, I've got good news. THQ has
announced that Red Faction: Armageddon will release on May 31, 2011.

That's the message that Atlus is sending about their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release, at least.

of last year's Ukranian-developed shooter Metro 2033, but you'd be
forgiven for not even having heard of it. Thankfully, THQ is promising a
much bigger marketing push behind the upcoming sequel, Metro 2034.

We've heard plenty of rumors
about Epic supposedly working on a new Gears of War game with Kinect
capabilities, but the latest anonymous source is saying that this title
will be an on-rails shooter.

Dark Souls may be the spiritual successor to developer From Software's
surprise hit Demon's Souls, but it's going to feature some nice upgrades
from that game according to a new interview.

Microsoft's latest Xbox Live Arcade blowout is set to begin next week.
To prepare us, the company has released a full list of dates and prices
for the games that will be arriving as part of the XBLA House Party
event.

According to documents supposedly leaked from a level designer for Retro
Studios, the Metroid Primer developer had pitched Nintendo on a game
known as Metroid 1.5 -- a title set between Metroid Prime and Metroid
Prime 2: Echoes.
