Like the blood and guts that fuse to create the unholy monsters that fill its action-heavy moments, that story and combat come together to deliver a catharsis of destruction I was delighted to be part of.

Parasite Eve fans
may find themselves turned off by the frenzied action-oriented approach
of The 3rd Birthday, and the execution certainly has its ups and downs.
In many ways, this is a lot like the Mega Bloks version of an excellent
game. It’s similar enough if you’re desperate, but your money is better
spent on the genuine article.
