The game is hitting North America in early August, but you can prep for its release now with these tips.

Pikmin 3's head-to-head mode looks fun and frantic.

The latest trailer for Pikmin 3 shows off the new playable characters in the game, Captain Charlie, Alph, and Brittany.

Earlier today we got to see some gameplay footage from Pikmin 3, and now there's an educational video showcasing all the powers of the assorted Pikmin, both new and old.

Pikmin 3 looks better and better every time we see it. It turns out
Nintendo and high-definition graphics make a fantastic partnership.

We also got some details on the competitive multiplayer Bingo Mode.

In Pikmin 3 you'll command an army of adorable plant-based bugs in
order to solve puzzles, battle dangerous predators, and recover enough
food to save your home planet from extinction.

As part of Nintendo's Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation, new footage from Pikmin 3 was shown off.

Update: Screens and trailer added. Though demo was fairly limited, I walked away confident that the sequel will be one of the Wii U standouts.
