Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess

Koei Tecmo is bringing an arsenal of traps to players this July via Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess. A new trailer shows some of these pitfalls, and they include surprises that are a bit more involved than spiky floors.

As we explained in our earlier preview, the game is a revamped version of Deception IV: Blood Ties, which was released on PlayStation 3 and Vita last year. Players can select between two demonic forces, Laegrinna and Velgruirie, who are so-called daughters of the devil. Their job is to lure unsuspecting victims into their lairs and (with help from the player and some crafty trap placement), defeat the intruders. Velgruirie is a new addition to the series. 

Don't let the storyline fool you. As you can see in the trailer below, traps range from conventional things like iron maidens to more outlandish objects like exploding toilets, pandas, and the humiliation of being forced to wear an animal mask.

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita on July 14.
