Progress has been going slow and steady, but developer Eric Barone has given an update on when to expect the much-anticipated mode.

Our Take
Who cares about multiplayer when horses will have sombreros in the upcoming update? It's about priorities, people! But in all seriousness, the comfortable, relaxing pace of Stardew Valley seems a natural fit for co-op. Considering Barone has had to rework much of the source code to accommodate this feature, the time it has taken his small team to crank it out is understandable.
