Nintendo Reveals Hardware Details For The Switch
During Nintendo's Switch presentation, the publisher finally revealed hardware details for the upcoming console.. Nintendo Switch is both a portable and home console system, capable of switching modes. Nintendo specified that the console could change between three modes;
TV Mode: Play the Switch on your television.
Tabletop: Put the Switch into a kickstand mode.
Handheld: Play Switch games on the go.
Nintendo also specified that battery life will vary by game but can last anywhere from two-and-a-half and six-and-a-half hours. Players will also be able to charge the controllers with an adapter that's included with the unit. Players will be able to connect over wireless internet to play multiplayer and up;to 8 Switch systems can be connected for local multiplayer.
The controllers (called Joy Con controllers) include a capture button that will players to take snapshots of their game and (later) record footage as well and share it online.
Nintendo Switch launches on March 3 and retails for $299.99.
