Lucas Joining The Smash Bros. Fray In Just A Few Days

Nintendo has just announced when Lucas would be carving out his own block on the new Super Smash Bros.' character-select screens. The Mother 3 hero will be available for purchase in a little more than a week.

The company revealed the release date on its official Twitter account:

PK THUNDER! On 6/14 @ 8 a.m. PT, Lucas is available to buy as a DLC character in #SmashBros for #WiiU & #3DS. pic.twitter.com/DlzexRRjYa

They didn't mention a price, but if Mewtwo is any indication, Lucas will cost $3.99 on either 3DS or Wii U, or as a bundle for $4.99. For a comparison of shiny new Lucas compared with his Super Smash Bros. Brawl counterpart, take a look at this video from MasterOfHyrule.

A tweet from Nintendo's Japanese account also mentions a Miiverse stage and Inkling costumes for Mii Fighters. We'll update should we receive news about those items coming to North America.
