Crytek's Warface Gets Release Date
CryEngine developers Crytek (Ryse: Son of Rome) have ambitious free-to-play plans, and FPS Warface is a major piece of this puzzle. The game comes out soon, and you can take a look at the game courtesy of its latest trailer.
Warface comes out on October 21, and the free-to-play FPS – thanks to CryEngine 3 – looks like the triple-A title that it strives to be. It features four soldier classes you can switch to at any time, and teaming up with a friend can earn you special moves.

Our Take:
There is a stigma behind free-to-play titles, but making Warface visually appealing with CryEngine 3 is a good first step towards breaking that up. Perhaps another difference maker is Crytek's integrated Gface social platform.
