Wii U Gets Price, Release Date In Japan
Nintendo today confirmed the price and release date of the Wii U in Japan. The console launches on December 8, 2012 and comes in two sets, one basic and one premium.
The white basic set launches for ¥26,250 with 8GB of harddrive space. The black premium set sells for ¥31,500 and includes a 32GB hard drive, controller stands, and 2 years of Nintendo Network Premium. Nintendo is also selling Wii U Gamepads separately for ¥13,440. The Wii U pro controller sells for ¥5,040.
Additionally, New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land are launch titles in Japan.
Nintendo will announce price and release date plans for North America and Europe at 10 AM Eastern today.
