Jason Craft, the creator, used some pretty good 3D tracking, 3D camera projection, and CG to make the video. The acting leaves something to be desired, but he definitely deserves to be commended for the relative seamless nature of the portal effects and the fact that the Portal gun itself is made entirely from CG.
