WGA Announces Latest Video Game Writing Nominees
The Writers Guild of America released its list of nominees for its annual video game writing award, with names as varied as Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Batman: Arkham City, and Mortal Kombat in the running.
To be eligible for the award, games had to have been released between December 1, 2010, and November 30, 2011. Additionally, nominated writers have to have already been members of the guild or have applied to become members of the organization at the time of submission.
That last qualifier may explain why notable games such as Portal 2 and L.A. Noire aren't on the list, while games like Mortal Kombat and multiplayer shooter Brink are.
Here's the complete list of nominees. Winners will be announced at the 2012 WGA awards ceremony on February 19.
