Activision and Infinity Ward do their best to keep people on their best behavior through the threat of bans and other punishment. A new post breaks down a variety of bannable offenses and what kinds of punishment you can score for yourself if you violate these rules.

The post, on the game's official community site, breaks down a variety of ways players can get banned, and then explains the punishment for violating those rules. For example, if you gather a few pals for some old-fashioned boosting and get busted, you're looking at a 48-hour ban and a stats reset on your first offense. Push your luck further, and you'll get permabanned.

Long story short, keep on shooting people in the face, just don't be a jerk about it. Also, don't exploit map holes.
