Valve Boss Intrigued By Wii U
Could your favorite Valve franchises eventually make their way to Nintendo's new console?
After delivering a keynote at New York's Games for Change Festival, Valve founder Gabe Newell fielded a question from Joystiq regarding its view of Nintendo's recently announced Wii U.
"Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation," Newell told Joystiq. "It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it'll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model."
Primarily a PC developer, Valve has never released a game on a Nintendo console, but Newell was quick to point out that his company has always held the Japanese console manufacturer in high regard. "We've always loved Nintendo," he said.
If Nintendo can get major third-party developers like Valve on board with its new console, consumers may hold it in high regard as well.
