New Activision Domains Point To More Hunting Games

URL hunting is an increasingly reliable way of seeing what a publisher plans on doing next – even if they're not exactly ready to talk about those plans. If a recent spate of domain registrations is any indication, Activision is working on a new wave of hunting games.

A tweet from Supererogatory revealed a blast of URLs that Activision has scooped up, including ActivisionAdventureGames.com. Before you get too excited, however, subsequent domains put the "adventure" in greater context. Think "bug spray" and "tent" rather than "puzzle" or "pointing/clicking."

Here are the recently registered domains: ActivisionSurvivalGames.com, BigGameHunterHuntingParty.com, SurvivalShadowsOfKatmai.com, SurvivalVideoGame.com, and TopShotSport.com.

It looks like more pixel hunting is on the horizon, in at least one sense of the term.
