2.6 Million Copies Of Homefront Shipped, DLC Incoming
THQ hasn't let middling review scores get it down. Since Homefront launched in March, the game was the recipient of a widespread panning, earning a flat 70 on review-aggregate site Metacritic. THQ's own stock price even dipped in response to that early feedback. As it turns out, the future of Homefront isn't as dim as one might imagine.
THQ said in a recent earnings call that it shipped 2.6 million copies of the game, and it has plans for future support. First, DLC will be coming to the game over the next few months, according to the company's president and CEO Brian Farrell. Additionally, a multiplayer demo of the game will be launching as well.
We're all for the possibility of that demo, if it gets more people playing the multiplayer. It was definitely the high point of the game, as we pointed out in our review.
