EA Announces Need For Speed: The Run

EA has announced the latest entry in the Need for Speed franchise, Need For Speed: The Run. The game, developed by Black Box, takes players on a cross-country ride for their lives from San Francisco to New York. The game uses DICE's Frostbite 2 engine, which allows for destructive elements such as rockslides and avalanches. Judging from the trailer, the game looks as though it's putting a premium on big setpiece moments and a story, which could be an interesting change of pace.
