Is Duke Nukem Forever Finally Coming Out?

Back in 2006, 3D Realms co-founder George Broussard joked that the perpetually delayed Duke Nukem Forever would finally be released when pigs fly. Normally, that would signal the end of all hope -- until Broussard recently posted this enticing tweet: a picture of pigs flying.

We still don't have any official word on the status of the game, but Broussard's recent hint (if that's truly what it's meant to be) is the last in a string of positive, albeit unconfirmed, information regarding the Duke Nukem's fate; first came news that the lawsuit between 3D Realms and Take-Two had been dropped after the two companies came to an undisclosed agreement, and then there was the intriguing rumor that Borderlands developer Gearbox might be finishing the project.

If anyone's capable of coming back from impossible odds, it's the Duke. Here's hoping we'll be kicking ass and chewing bubble gum again soon.
