Competitive Multiplayer In Portal 2?
According to Portal 2 scribe Erik Wolpaw, the above was once a reality, implemented in something he describes as "speedball meets Portal." Problem was, with inter-spatial portals flinging every which way, tactical competition quickly devolved into pure madness.
In a video tour of the new Value studios over at 1UP, Wolpaw divulges how competitive multiplayer was cut because it distracted from the core puzzle mechanics of play. Check out the full video here.
