Shepard Getting Even More Firepower In Mass Effect 2 DLC

Are you getting ready for your twelfth Mass Effect 2 playthrough but are concerned that the game might be a little stale? Fear not! BioWare has released some new DLC that could add even more variety to your space-faring adventures—or at least the fighting parts.

The Firepower Pack, available now for 160 Microsoft Points/160 BioWare Points adds three new weapons to the game. The Phalanx is a laser-sighted heavy pistol that “brings the bang!” BioWare says the Mattock heavy rifle is like the unscoped sniper rifle or recoilless assault rifle of your dreams. Finally, the Geth Plasma Shotgun has three barrels and…kills aliens. There you go.

At some point, Shepard should probably stop messing around and just have Mordin graft rocket-launching plasmathrowers onto each of his arms. Sorry. Geth rocket-launching plasmathrowers.
