Pokémon Company Unveils Rebranded Play! Pokémon Program

The Pokémon Company’s outreach program, Pokémon Organized Play, has evolved. Its latest incarnation, Play! Pokémon, is essentially the same thing, though it’s hard to argue that it isn’t a catchier name.

If you’re not that into Pokémon, Play! Pokemon is essentially a way for Pokémon players to do whatever it is that they do. New players can meet up at events to learn how the collectible card game works or to hone video game strategies. Veterans can enter tournaments and win prizes, such as the 2010 World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, which takes place from August 14-15.
