Capcom Launches New Dead Rising Website, Reveals Box Art

Capcom is in full promo-mode for their upcoming sequel Dead Rising 2. Today they released the official box art that will grace shelves come September 28.

The newly revealed cover is pretty straightforward, taking note from the original Dead Rising’s art by pitting the protagonist against a crowd of zombies while wielding an nontraditional weapon. Instead of brandishing a television set, Chuck Greene is wielding a paddlesaw (canoe paddle + chainsaws) against the oncoming horde of undead. In the background you can see the glitzy lights of Las Vegas and a Servbot lurking off to the side.

Capcom also launched tapeitordie.com today, a new website that follows the exploits of four Dead Rising 2 characters – Lance, Gretchen, Wallace, and Johnny Pipes – as they try to score tickets to the famed Terror is Reality game show. Unfortunately, the website seems to be having technical problems and is currently down, but once fixed Capcom promises that following the weekly updates will nab you exclusive content for Dead Rising 2.
