Sony Shows Killzone 3 in 3D

by Matt Helgeson on Jun 15, 2010 at 09:07 AM

Sony began its press conference by handing out 3D glasses, so its no surprise that 3D PS3 games took center stage. After Kaz Hirai touted the company's new efforts to promote 3D gaming, Guerilla Games' Herman Hulst took the stage to show off a portion of the fourth level of the game in 3D. One thing is sure: this is one impressive looking game, 3D or no. The action was hectic, as a staffer from Guerilla battled the Helghast, showing off some impressive depth of field 3D effects. The in-game characters were utilizing mech-style jump suits that, frankly looked like a blast.

Hulst also revealed that the game will launch in February 2011, and be fully compatible with the PlayStation Move controller.
