Square Enix Makes Ridiculously Bold Claim

This Friday, Square-Enix is planning on making an announcement, which – if the teaser site can be believed – will “Change Japanese History.”

The teaser site Square has set up doesn’t really make it clear what kind of announcement we can expect, but it seems to be some kind of partnership with Yahoo, and rumors suggest that it might be some kind of browser-based or mobile phone game. Then again it could literally mean that Square is working on some kind of historical title that references real events with a certain amount of artistic license. Whatever the case, our interest is piqued.

In a possibly related note, Square Enix CEO Yoichi  Wada hinted that Final Fantasy Versus XIII, like XIII proper, might makes it's way to the Xbox 360.
