Torchlight On Its Way To Consoles?

Speaking on The Rumble Pack podcast, Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer admitted to the developer's interest in moving last year's Torchlight onto consoles. "We're going to put some serious effort into it – pretty quick – getting Torchlight onto consoles," he said. Schaefer went on to say that Runic is in talks with multiple partners to try to make it happen.

Runic's first title, Torchlight received an enthusiastic critical reception. Its sales are hard to judge since the majority of them are through digital portals like Steam and GamersGate, which don't report numbers to aggregators like NPD Group. Clearly it has done reasonably well, though, if Runic is looking at getting it to a larger audience.
