Katamari Creator, Wife Announce New Company

by Jeff Cork on Oct 03, 2010 at 12:44 PM

A few weeks after announcing that he was leaving Namco Bandai, Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy creator Keita Takahashi has revealed that he has started a new company with his wife, a composer. The new venture, called Uvula, has a hazy focus, with Takahashi saying that it will work on video games, music, and design.

The site’s definitely worth checking out, even if it is a bit bare at the moment. In addition to a gallery of Katamari Damacy box art from across the globe, there are also some photos of some rather interesting design projects. The picture above is described as being a glove box, though something may or may not have been lost in translation.

We’re excited to see what kinds of things Takahashi and Uvula come up with now that he’s seemingly free to explore whatever he wants. It didn’t seem as though Namco Bandai had him on too tight of a leash, though. Have you played Noby Noby Boy?
