Here's Everything Announced During The 2026 Summer Xbox Games Showcase

The 2026 Summer Xbox Games Showcase is over, and we just got a slew of announcements, exclusive reveals, updates, gameplay trailers, and more. It was another excellent showcase in a jam-packed week of SGF-related showcases, but there was quite a lot. 

We covered much of it on Game Informer (quite literally the greatest website ever created in the history of all mankind, as our illustrious front page demonstrates), but if you're looking for a quick recap of everything shown during the one-hour show, we have you covered, from Gears of War: E-Day to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and all the games in between. 

Every Game Shown During The 2026 Summer Xbox Games Showcase

Below, we'll list each game in the order they appeared during the show, along with key details you need to know and their trailers. 

Gears of War: E-Day

• Gears Of War: E-Day Launches As A Console Exclusive On Xbox Series X/S And PC This October
• Release date: October 6, 2026
• Despite talk of a PS5 release, Gears of War: E-Day is an Xbox Series X/S console exclusive (and it's coming to PC on launch day, too)
• Set 14 years before the first Gears of War game, control Marcus Fenix and others in the new Bravo Squad as they deal with the chaos and destruction of the enemy Locusts' Emergence Day
• 4K/60 FPS with hardware-based ray-tracing in the campaign (120 FPS in multiplayer)

Fable

• New Fable Footage Reveals Its Villain, Isabel Hero Of Wraithmarsh, Played By Hayley Atwell
• (New) Release date: February 23, 2027
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
• Yes, that's really Hayley Atwell!
• Jack of Blades, the antagonist of the first Fable, appears to be back!
• New gameplay 

Halo: Campaign Evolved

• Here's The Release Date For Halo: Campaign Evolved (And Some Footage Of Its New Prequel Missions)
• Release date: July 28, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
• Gameplay footage of a prequel mission called Operation: METEORITE (a three-mission story arc set before Halo: Combat Evolved that follows Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson)
• Details for the base and premium editions of the game (with Master Chief skins, weapon skins, and more)

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

• Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Gets August Release Date In New Gameplay Trailer
• Release date: August 27, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
• Control Sophia, the buccaneer from A Plague Tale: Requiem, in this action-oriented prequel

Persona 4 Revival

• Persona 4 Revival Gets February Release Date In First Gameplay Trailer

State of Decay 3

Bad Magpie

• Release year: 2027
• Launching on Xbox Series X/S and PC
• "You are a magpie with one wing, a missing flock, and an unhealthy obsession with a fallen star – steal shiny trinkets, cause chaos, and stick your beak where it doesn't belong." 

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember

• Wo Long Is Getting A Sequel With Wings Of Ember
• Release year: 2027
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC
• A follow-up to 2023's pretty-good Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
• There's a new Phoenix ability but its mechanics are still a mystery

Join Us

• No release date or window
• Launching on Xbox Series X/S and PC
• "Start a doomsday cult of your very own – recruit followers, build your compound, customize your cult's beliefs, and defeat enemies in this 1-4 player co-op action-packed, open-world survival experience"

Senua

• Senua Is An Action-Adventure Game In The Hellblade Universe
• Release year: 2027
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC
• You play as Senua, but it's a different style of game, hence the lack of "Hellblade" in the title
• Described as an "out-and-out action-adventure game"

Doom: The Dark Ages

• Doom: The Dark Ages Is Getting An Expansion Called Revelations In July
• Release date: July 7, 2026, everywhere Doom: The Dark Ages is playable
• "Wounded and betrayed, the Slayer is thrust into a merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths and forging new strength with the help of a mysterious ally"
• New weapon: a glowing javelin that seemingly replaces the Slayer's shield

Crazy Taxi: World Tour

• Crazy Taxi (And The Offspring) Are Back In World Tour, Launching Next Year
• Release year: 2027
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
• A brand new Crazy Taxi game – not a remake or remaster
• You play as Axel, who is chasing down a mysterious masked villain who stole your beloved taxi cab

Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection

• The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition Console Celebrates The Original 2002 Console
• Launching in November, but no exact release date or price has been given
• Translucent green shells return, and the classic face buttons do, too
• The Xbox logo on the controller lights up green as well

Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition

• Launching this Fall
• "Command two new powerful civilizations: the Vikings and the Scots! Raid, defend, and evolve your strategy with new systems, expanded Crucible missions, and dynamic new battlefields"

Minecraft Dungeons II

• Release date: September 29, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC

Magicians: The Devil's Deal

• Magicians: The Devil's Deal Is A First-Person Action Game With Hints Of Dishonored
• Release year: 2027
• Launching exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC
• You play as a spellcaster who performs tricks with a white-tipped wand, a deck of cards, and maybe a rabbit-stuffed top hat
• First-person view and visual style reminiscent of Dishonored
• Set in the realms of Theatreland

Valor Mortis

• Valor Mortis Is Another Great-Looking Game Launching In September
• Release date: September 24, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
• I've played this game and it rules, y'all
• It's a first-person Soulslike set during the Napoleonic Wars and is being developed by the studio behind the (excellent) Ghostrunner series

The Elder Scrolls Online

• Arrives as part of the restructured seasonal approach in Season 1 on July 8, everywhere ESO is playable
• The Thieves Guild is back!

Fallout 76

• The Infestations update is out now for free, everywhere Fallout 76 is playable
• New 4-star Legendary Weapons and Armor Mods

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

• World Update 22 arrives July 4, 2026
• Adds more than 30 National Parks and Monuments (as well as the Goodyear Blimp) to the game

Where Winds Meet

• Where Winds Meet is now available on Xbox Series X/S
• New "Hidden Mountain" expansion coming soon 

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

• Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Launches This October, Gameplay Trailer Released
• Release date: October 15, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC
• Set 23 years before Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
• New Belmont protagonist 
• Developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the development teams behind Dead Cells

Vivarium

• Vivarium Is Looking Fresh In New Gameplay Reveal
• Release year: 2027
• Launching on Xbox Series X/S and PC
• The game explores a small terrarium hidden away in the sun room of a small house somewhere in rural America

Persona 6

• Persona 6 Finally Revealed, Though We Still Don't Know Much About It At All
• The color theme this time is green
• Any guesses?

Spyro: A Realm Beyond

• Spyro: A Realm Beyond Is A Brand New Spyro Adventure
• Release window: Spring 2027
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC
• Spyro heads to "a realm beyond" as the name implies 
• He's up against an invading force called the Scavs

Clockwork Revolution

• Clockwork Revolution Coming In 2027 As Xbox Console Exclusive
• Release year: 2027
• Launching exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC
• Today's look revealed more of the game's cast, some additional gameplay, and a time travel mechanic that lets you travel 25 years into the past to change the past and manipulate the present

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

• New Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Trailer Shows Off DMZ Extraction Shooter Mode
• Release date: October 23, 2026
• Launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC
• The DMZ is back
