The Sinking City 2 is a respectable scare fest boasting entertaining puzzle-solving. However, middling combat, flawed progression, and an underwhelming narrative hold it back from reaching the horrific heights of its more celebrated contemporaries.
It may not offer much to entice those who have already played these games, but Metro Redux is the best way for newcomers to experience this under-appreciated series.
Some elements of the gameplay haven’t aged well, but they are ultimately outweighed by the opportunity to experience this refined new vision for Oddworld and its inhabitants.
