Atlus is continuing its trend of remaking older Persona games in light of the explosive success of 2017’s Persona 5. In 2024, we received Persona 3 Reload, a modernized version of the 2007 original, and now, Atlus is working its way forward with Persona 4 Revival, which remakes the classic 2008 release.

The story of Persona 4 follows a group of high school students in the small, fictional Japanese town of Inaba. When a horrific serial killer begins terrorizing this sleepy town and a mysterious TV channel starts appearing on screens during rainy nights to coincide with the killings, the group springs into action to investigate and put a stop to the madness.

Persona 4 and its enhanced version, Persona 4 Golden, are considered by many to be among the greatest role-playing games of all time. This “reborn” form of the game aims to recreate the characters and town with new visuals, including ray tracing, variable refresh rate, 4K resolution, and at least 60 frames per second performance.
