Petit Planet
The Hoyoverse may as well be a galaxy in itself, given that it’s a vast collection of disparate worlds. The brand encompasses some of the most popular free-to-play gacha games on the planet, from its tentpole action RPG Genshin Impact to the turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail to, most recently, its stylish urban action game, Zenless Zone Zero. The developer has largely succeeded in any genre it tackled, and it has turned its gaze towards the popular (and lucrative) life sim genre with its latest title, Petit Planet.
The elevator pitch for Petit Planet would be “imagine Animal Crossing with the celestial aesthetic of Super Mario Galaxy.” Players begin the game with their own small planet to nurture into a cozy home for anthropomorphic critters hailing from other worlds. You’ll build homes, furniture, and other decor by gathering resources. The environment can be transformed to fit your artistic tastes; you can modify beaches, grasslands, and even the sky itself.
