Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Following 2022’s excellent Pokémon Legends: Arceus, we are rapidly approaching the second of the “Legends” subseries with Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This time around, rather than going to the distant past like Arceus did with the Hisui region (which was the precursor to Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh region), we’re staying in modern times, revisiting Pokémon X and Y’s iconic Lumiose City.
Lumiose City plays host to the entire game this time around, a sharp departure from Arceus, which explicitly tasked players with venturing into the untamed wilds of the Pokémon world. Instead, Z-A tells the story of an urban redevelopment initiative within Lumiose City by a company called Quasartico, with the goal of creating a city environment where people and Pokémon can coexist.
