Clockwork Revolution
Though my feelings have shifted over the years on BioShock Infinite, namely its narrative and how it handles key characters, I can’t deny I was enraptured by its floating city in the clouds, Columbia. I’m a sucker for that early 20th Century style of architecture, the type of place where a barbershop quartet isn’t out of place atop a ship in the sky. From the moment I first saw Clockwork Revolution back in 2023, I knew it was a game I should keep my eyes on, largely because it reminded me of Columbia. Though developer inXile Entertainment remained near silent on the game between its reveal in 2023 and the following two years, it recently pulled back the curtain on the RPG in a big way.
Players step into the shoes of Morgan Vanette, a customizable player-character and member of the Rotten Row Hooligans gang. After discovering the world you live in has been altered by someone named Lady Ironwood through an unnaturally manipulated history of time travel, it’s up to you to turn back time and stop her deeds – how you do it, though, is up to you.
