Monster Hunter Wilds Hits Nintendo Switch 2 This December

Capcom is bringing Monster Hunter Wilds to Nintendo Switch 2 this December. Revealed during today's Nintendo Direct, the 2025 monster-hunting action game that originally launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will finally make its way to Nintendo's latest handheld-hybrid console. This version launches on December 4 and includes all previously released updates for Monster Hunter Wilds. 

Alongside the launch, Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2 will feature local play so you and your friends can play together. With today's news, we also got our first big look at Monster Hunter Wilds actually running on the console and, perhaps unsurprisingly, given how well Capcom's other Switch 2 releases run, like Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata, the game seems to be running great. Plus, the game's upcoming 2027 expansion, Ascendance, will come to Switch 2 next year.
