Valiant Hearts: The Great War
To bring more historical accuracy to its World War I game Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Ubisoft has partnered with producers CC&C and Ideacom International to incorporate archived WWI materials from their Apocalypse, World War I documentary.
A new developer diary video reveals Valiant Hearts will feature colorized video footage and photographs from Apocalypse, World War I. Players trigger these documents by completing actions inspired by the source material.

The developers noted the database also informed many of the game's events and characters. For example, the team based the dog featured in previous Valiant Hearts trailers, Walt, on a photo of a "casualty dog," used to console dying soldiers.
Valiant Hearts releases June 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. For more, check out a previous story-focused developer diary.
