The first episode in a series of developer diaries for The Last of Us talks about the Infected and their origins.

Certain kinds of Infected use echolocation like bats to find their targets, which makes silence golden in the game. The video also talks about how the Infected virus spreads among humans.

The Last of Us comes out for the PlayStation 3 on June 14.
