The Darkness II

A new gameplay trailer showcases the series' new art direction and protagonist Jackie Estacado's fiendish prowess for combat.

In taking the reigns from Starbreeze Studios, new developer Digital Extremes is shifting the art direction for The Darkness II, embracing the series' comic book roots with a hand-drawn aesthetic. Check out the new style in the video below.

The Darkness II doesn't come out until October 4, but look for some hands-on impressions next week when we check the game out for ourselves at E3.
