Tengami
At PAX this year, we spent a lot of time in the Indiecade, sampling some titles coming from developers you might not have heard of (yet). One of those was Tengami, a point-and-click adventure with an art style derived from Japanese paper art.
Developer Nyamyam has released a new trailer showcasing some of the gameplay mechanics. The pop-up book motif looks gorgeous, and as you can see from the trailer, you manipulate the paper by folding, sliding, and pulling.
The title will be available on iOS in early 2014. It’s coming later to Wii U via the eShop, PC, and Mac shortly thereafter. You can see the trailer below, which is backed by music from composer David Wise (Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze).
