Soulcalibur V
Namco was showing off Soul Calibur V behind closed doors at their E3 booth, although it was a very early build of the game. Despite being early in the development process, we did manage to learn a few details about the fighter.
The final roster will consist of 20 to 30 characters, and half of the fighters will be brand new. We saw two of them during a demo, and they're both Sophitia's children. Pyrrha is a dead ringer for her mother, and her fighting style appears to be very similar. Her younger brother Patroklos fights with a sword and an unorthodox stance. We saw a couple of rounds, but it was so early that it actually utilized some assets from Soul Calibur IV. The Soul Gauge meter and critical finishes are gone, but super moves will be available in some form.
We also learned that the game will feature a full story mode, improved online play, and extended community support. No more details were available, but we'll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear more.
