Shadows of the Damned

I've never been a huge fan of developer diaries. They tend to be a little long-winded and trying too hard to sell the game and make it seem like the most innovative, awesome thing ever. So why is this Shadows of the Damned dev diary different? Two answers: Suda51 and Shinji Mikami.

The two eccentric minds behind this upcoming action-horror game bring their unique -- they would say "punk rock" -- attitude to this video, which includes an in-depth look at the different mechanics behind Shadows of the Damned. Mikami even admits that the core gameplay is pretty much the same as Resident Evil 5...which I'm totally fine with.
