Tactical Simulations Interactive has announced Seven Dragon Saga and an accompanying Kickstarter campaign.

TSI, which is comprised of designers from classic RPG studio Strategic Simulations Inc., says it is planning to build on the legacy of SSI’s Gold Box engine titles of the 80s and 90s. Seven Dragon Saga, which has been self-funded for the majority of its time in development, is a top down RPG in the vein of Baldur’s Gate.

Seven Dragon Saga does not currently have a concrete release date, but TSI is targeting a release on PC, Mac, and Linux sometime in 2016.
