NBA 2K14 Developer Diary Details MyTeam Improvements

After the success (both critically and financially) of EA Sports' Ultimate Team mode, we knew it was only a matter of time before 2K Sports created its own version of the popular team-building mode. Last year the studio debuted MyTeam, which scratched the same itch for NBA 2K13 fans. For the follow-up, Visual Concepts invested heavily in fan requests, and the mode should be better because of it.

Watch the video below, which outlines several new features coming to the game, including a new tier of special players, tournaments, leaderboards, team customization, and the ability to have your team take the place of an NBA team and play through the season. NBA 2K14 also includes a menu option for facing off against against friends.

NBA 2K13 releases on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 1. Another version of the game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
