Magic Duels: Origins
Magic: The Gathering’s beginner product, Duels of the Planeswalkers, has been trending toward free-to-play for the past couple of years. The series has featured unlockable decks and in-app purchases for a while, but now Wizards of the Coast is completing the transition.
Origins is a free-to-play iteration of the franchise. It features a storyline and cards from the upcoming Magic Origins set and will receive downloadable content updates. It seems like this product will buck the trend of annual releases and serve as a platform for online play (separate, and possibly more appealing than Magic: The Gathering Online).

A number of multiplayer modes, including the two-vs-two Two-Headed Giant mode, will be featured. Origins features a full deck-builder, challenges, quests, and playable Planeswalker cards. Wizards of the Coast says that all of the content available can be earned through play.
It’ll be out in July on Xbox One, PC, and iPad. A PlayStation 4 version is also planned for release later in 2015.
