Madden NFL 16
NFL rookies – even first round picks – often struggle to make the leap between college and professional football. Madden's list of its top ten NFL rookies indicates as such, with WR Amari Cooper having the highest rating at 82 overall. The rest of the list lies below:
1. Amari Cooper, WR, OAK - 82 OVR
2. Jameis Winston, QB, TB - 81 OVR
3. Todd Gurley, RB, STL - 80 OVR
4. Leonard Williams, DL, NYJ - 80 OVR
5. Brandon Scherff, OL, WAS - 80 OVR
6. Dante Fowler Jr., DE, JAX - 79 OVR
7. Melvin Gordon, RB, SD - 78 OVR
8. Kevin White, WR, CHI - 78 OVR
9. Marcus Mariota, QB, TEN - 78 OVR
10. Vic Beasley Jr., DE, ATL - 77 OVR
We should remember that none of these players have played a down in the NFL. Over the course of a full season, Tennessee Titans' QB Marcus Mariota could prove to be the best rookie quarterback. RB Todd Gurley, meanwhile, might fail to recover from his torn ACL and end up as a bust. (After all, Johnny Manziel started last season at 77 overall.)
Regardless of their relative inexperience, some of these NFL newcomers view themselves as the best of the best. Check out the video below to watch top rookies react to their Madden ratings.
