Square Enix has released a handful of new information, concept art, and screenshots for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3DS.

I'm not really sure what this means, so I will just tell you exactly what Square Enix told us:

"Spirits and Nightmares are two different types of Dream Eaters. Spirits accompany Riku and Sora during their journey to protect them from the evil spirits, or Nightmares."

Dream Drop Distance will also take advantage of the 3DS' augmented reality functionality to play minigames with, pet, and feed the spirits mentioned above.

Kingdom Hearts 3DS: Dream Drop Distance will be available in North America on July 31.
