Hyrule Warriors

Hyrule Warriors (Name not Final) has a final name… finally. The title, which will in fact be called Hyrule Warriors here in the west (it’s Zelda Musou in Japan), is on track for release this year. Nintendo has also revealed a new playable character: Hyrulean Captain Impa.

As you can see from the screenshot above, this isn’t the old woman from the original The Legend of Zelda. This Impa wields a massive sword and will be a formidable foe on the battlefield.

According to the official site, Link will be on a quest to rescue Zelda once more. In addition to Impa, other familiar characters will be playable (which will hopefully include Zelda and Ganondorf). 

Hyrule Warriors will be out this year worldwide.
