Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation

In anticipation of its 2015 release date, publisher Idea Factory has released a number of character screenshots for the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation. The PS Vita exclusive is a remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2, the second title in the series.

The gallery below gives a good feel for the characters you’ll see in Sisters Generation. In keeping with Hyperdimension Neptunia’s meta theme, the sisters characters all represent portable consoles.

For example, Nepgear, Sisters Generation’s protagonist, is styled after a Sega Game Gear, both in terms of her costume and personality. This deliberate styling is reflected on a macro scale too; the JRPG series takes place in the not-so-subtly named “Gamindustri,” which is populated by lands emblematic of home consoles like the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3.

These screens come hot off the heels of another Hyperdimension announcement – Idea Factory is bringing the spinoff title Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart stateside. Both Sisters Generation and Goddess Black Heart will be exclusively available for PS Vita in early 2015.
