Frozen Cortex

Indie developer Mode 7 has released Frozen Cortex, which is available today on Steam, the Humble Store, and from the game’s website. Alongside the game comes a new launch trailer, showcasing more gameplay, different modes, and co-op. 

Frozen Cortex is a futuristic tactical sports game, where robots face off against one another in a randomly generated battle arena. Single-player features three different league modes: the rogue-like Knockout mode, Global Cortex mode, and Season mode. Multiplayer has two unique modes as well, including full customization of the match. In Team Editor, you can name the players, as well as change their stats, armor and appearance. There are seven AI teams, each having their own coach that responds to the match in compelling ways.
