Dragon Ball Xenoverse
Drumming up excitement for its February release, Namco Bandai has announced three new characters will be featured in Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Beerus, Whis, and Great Ape Vegeta. Beerus and Whis are hot off the heels of their debut in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, while fans know Great Ape Vegeta as the power monkey transformation of the prince of all saiyans.
Beerus and Whis are relatively newer characters to the series. In Battle of Gods, the God of Destruction Beerus and his attendant Whis travel to Earth, threatening to destroy it. Xenoverse lets players take control of both of these characters and features them both prominently in the Time Patrol Quest. Since Xenoverse's story mode rewrites classic DBZ moments, players are likely to see a new take on Battle of Gods' events.
Great Ape Vegeta marks the introduction of massive boss battles to Xenoverse. These fights will be found in the Time Patrol Quest and Parallel Quest modes. As you can see from the gallery, Great Ape Vegeta dwarfs player characters in size. Players will need work with other players online to exploit his weak points.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be out February 5, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. If you pre-order now, you get exclusive access to the playable Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and two Frieza Soldier battle suits. Check out our gallery below to preview the new characters.
